What will be your daily pursuit?

If so, we have the role for you: Director of Sales, Banff Jasper Collection. The right candidate for this role must have significant experience in Travel Trade Sales with a strong hunting instinct and desire to build strong relationships that will drive sales in our experiential travel business. 
  
Pursuit, a global attractions and hospitality company, is looking for a Director of Sales to support its properties and experiences within Banff, Jasper and Golden. In this role, you will be a key member of the Banff Jasper Collection leadership team, as well as a key member of Pursuit’s global sales leadership team, responsible for driving the revenue growth of our business through global travel trade partners. Supported by a dynamic sales team, you help establish annual sales targets, implement strategies to achieve those targets and regularly report on all your performance measures. 
 

What will you do in this job?

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to meet or exceed annual revenue targets
  • Manage and motivate a sales team to meet or exceed established targets
  • Recruiting, onboarding and training of new and existing sales team members 
  • Collaborate with operations teams to build experiences and sales programs to increase travel trade revenues
  • Create and maintain strong and mutually profitable business relationships with revenue team stakeholders (Marketing, Revenue Maximization and Central Reservations)
  • Work with Sales Operations team members to develop multiple sales targets and ensure appropriate performance measurements
  • Understand the competitive sales landscape, global market trends and data-driven forecasting strategies 

What skills and experience do you need for this job?

Ideal Experience

  • Minimum 5 years Travel Trade sales management experience required
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent sales/work experience required
  • Minimum of 5 years’ broad-based sales management experience with a track record of sales leadership success required
  • Experience working in a Shared Service/Matrix organization an asset
  • Knowledge of Salesforce or Delphi.fdc (CRM) an asset
  • Functional knowledge and ability using MS Office tools (eg: Teams, Excel, Word, PPT) required

This is a full-time, benefit-eligible role that is based in Banff, Canmore, and/or Calgary, Alberta (hybrid office environments). Current, legal ability to work in Canada is required. Ability to travel in US and Canada will be required.  Proof of COVID-19 vaccination status may be required for some travel or attendance at business meetings.
