What will you do in this job?

Retail Inventory Specialist plays a key role in the success of the Retail team while reporting directly to Retail Inventory Manager. Responsibilities include:

  • Receive inventory
  • Spot-check received product, material and equipment for any variances and damages
  • Load and drive cube van
  • Operate forklift
  • Plan, coordinate, organize and execute product redistribution to all georgraphies/operations
  • Maintain, clean and organize warehouse including outside areas and walkways
  • Follow all retail inventory SOPs
  • Execute accurate database data entry in timely fashion
  • Manage online retail
  • Adhere to health and safety measures in place
  • Communicate any challenges, issues and suggest improvements
  • Effectively communicate with retail leadership team, store locations, vendors and other departments
  • Lead and/or participate in the year-end physical inventory counts

What skills and experience do you need for this job?

  • Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract 
  • Repetitive heavy-lifting up to 50lbs
  • Travel to other geos, including overnight stays according to business needs
  • Excellent communications skills verbally, via phone, Teams and e-mail
  • Previous database experience – 2 years minimum
  • Previous inventory experience an asset
  • Full understanding of the documents such as invoice, sales order, pro-forma invoice, packing Slip, credit memo, purchase order
  • Attention to detail and adherence to schedule
  • Forklift operator certification an asset
  • MS Office experience an asset
