What will you do in this job?

  • Maintain and contribute to a safe and healthy workplace by performing facilities maintenance, always ensuring all safety procedures are enforced
  • Monitor and maintain building systems such as heating, electrical, plumbing and mechanical components
  • Carry out daily, weekly and monthly inspections of upper and lower buildings and grounds
  • Carry out minor electrical and plumbing work such as changing light bulbs and replacing furnace filters
  • Carry out minor building cosmetic repairs such as patches and painting
  • Supervise front line operations employees
  • Ensure that all department operations are properly executed, and all Banff Gondola safety and operational policies and procedures are followed
  • Ensure that each guest interaction is friendly and professional
  • Contribute to the overall cleanliness of all gondola facilities particularly in the operations department areas
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager

What skills and experience do you need for this job?

  • General carpentry, plumbing and electrical experience
  • Journeyman Certifications an asset
  • Proven history of safe work practices
  • Proven supervisory experience
  • Computer knowledge and experience
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to take direction under stressful conditions
  • Class 5 driving license
  • First aid training an asset
